Concerning to the wikipedia description for you to understand the illustration, I have tried to represent Boreas.
"Boreas was the Greek god of the cold north wind and the bringer of winter. His name meant "North Wind" or "Devouring One". Boreas is depicted as being very strong, with a violent temper to match. He was frequently shown as a winged old man with shaggy hair and beard, holding a conch shell and wearing a billowing cloak." The greek mythology have always been one of my main interests (since I was a kid), and I worked on drawings about some of the characters of this big saga of gods and fantastic creatures. This time is, probably because the development of my technics and skills, my favorite of all of them. -Drawing mixed with own sky-skape photos. 30x30cms namtarucreations.com All images displayed in both accounts are exclusive property of Irene D.M. aka Namtaru© |
