In the ancient greek mythology, Telxiope is a siren.

Artwork finished in the summer of 2006 and submited just now here. The model of Telxiope is my beloved *decrepitude and the rest of stock is mine. The original size is 75x50 cm and the hair has been drawed one by one with the wacom.

Really nice design. I adore the colors and composition.

I'm not sure about the wings, but apart from that I think it came out awesome!
Great idea with the background, too (is it a dandelion?). :)

Mut zur Scheußlichkeit!
Again powerful and meanful.

Imitation is the best form of plagiarism.
I love the background textural greens and the mermaid body, but i guess i would leave the wings out of the picture - winged mermaids were never a part of my personal imaginary world.
well, this is an illustration based in the ancient greek mythology and into there, mermaids had wings, it´s why I did, but thanks for your opinion anyway.
